Miroslav Černý graduated from the Faculty of Law, Masaryk University in Brno, and his main area of expertise during his studies was civil law and intellectual property law. Currently, Mr. Černý works as a coordinator of the Intellectual Property Department in ŠKODA AUTO a.s. In 2009, Mr. Černý attended an internship at a patent and legal department in Volkswagen AG in Germany. In 2013, he studied at Summer Institute on Intellectual Property Rights in China, Peking University.
Mr. Černý is Czech Patent Attorney and European Trademark and Design Attorney and is also a member of the Editorial Board of the Industrial Property Journal of the Czech Patent Office. He is also an external tutor at university and lecturer of a number of courses for members of the expert public. During his lectures and in his publications, he primarily focuses on intellectual property law and contract law. In 2016, Mr. Černý received an award for In-House Lawyer of the year in category Perspective from the Association of In-House Lawyers of the Czech Republic.
